Manual Lymphatic Massage is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the thoracic duct. MLD is a very gentle skin stretching manual treatment that is designed to help move lymph fluid back into remaining lymph vessels which in turn improves the function of the lymphatic system throughout the body.
